Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

For BBQ ribs:

  • 1 1/2 cups Food Club Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Food Club Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 (32-ounce) racks baby back ribs

For baked beans:

  • 2 (16-ounce) cans Food Club Homestyle Baked Beans
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Method:

For BBQ ribs:

  1. Spray the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and salt in a small bowl. Brush the ribs with the barbecue sauce mixture and arrange the ribs in the slow cooker. Pour the remaining barbecue sauce over the ribs.
  3. Cook on LOW heat for 2 to 3 hours, or until heated through and the meat is fork tender.

For baked beans:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a 2-quart baking dish, mix together the baked beans, ketchup, spicy brown mustard, molasses and brown sugar.
  3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until beans are bubbly on the edges. Serve with the BBQ ribs.
